Hue of Michelle & Lee

Hue of Michelle & Lee

CLASSIC – GRAND – UNIQUE – WARM

Michelle and Lee’s kitchen was destroyed by a flooded bathroom. They wanted to take advantage of the disaster and update a little.

Their needs were very specific: update the counters, appliances, floor and wall colors only–there was no budget for replacing or refinishing cabinets. We had to make the old ones work (except for the ones we removed to open the space up)…and we did!

A unique granite (Brazilian Bordeaux) countertop was set against a bias floor tile pattern tied together tonally by the wood grain and stain colors.

The clean new look inspired them to reset the furniture and add new valences, shades for the chandeliers, and artwork.

The upstairs hall carpet was also ruined by the flood.  We updated the wall color to complement the new carpet and added faux paneling to the foyer and stairwell to match the adjoining dining room.

Next up: Dining Room and Master Suite!

Hilary Bhinder is a creative visionary.  She sees combinations and options that we never would have considered on our own.  We had a tight budget and Hilary helped us prioritize the best way to spend it.  Hilary’s input was invaluable in choosing the marble, tile, paint, lighting, flooring, molding and fixtures.  Now, our home is elegant and wonderfully integrated.  Thank you Hilary!
