I am a Midwesterner living in and loving Southern California. I grew up in a suburb of Milwaukee, raised by a mother who rearranged the furniture with the seasons and always had a creative project in the works and a father who was the original do-it-yourself-er. This creative, hard-working environment instilled in me a love of buildings, homes, and design.
I pursued an Art-Minor with an emphasis in Interior Architecture at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design as a Burke Scholar while attending Marquette University, majoring in pre-law. In 1999 I graduated magna cum laude, never gave law school a second glance, and have been working in various roles in the construction industry and expanding my education in design and real estate ever since.
In 2003 my husband’s employment with Amgen brought us to the Conejo Valley and, many cross-country moves later (FOUR times!!) we returned to Westlake Village in 2013 to raise our formerly nomadic sons.
I have owned and operated Hue of You Decor since 2007 in California, Georgia, and Arizona.
